A470 road closure from the 31st of October for 7 weeks

Audit Wales have completed their audit of the Council's 2023-24 accounts and they are available for viewing.

Llanbrynmair show
After a few years of being sorely missed, Llanbrynmair Show was back big time this year. A fantastic variety of displays, activities and characters with superb weather thrown in.
Tractor run
Llanbrynmair tractor run, 22nd August 2021 in memory of Eleri Evans, proceeds went to the Bronglais Adult Diabetes Team. 25 miles in glorious sunshine via Darowen and Commins Coch.
Llanbrynmair Show
September 2018 - Llanbrynmair Show, highlight of the year with the usual variety; vegetables, dogs, costumes, cycling, runing and shearing.

The parents and children have been very busy in the play park building, filling and planting some raised beds. A big thank you to Ben Davies for the soil, to the Police Benevolent Fund for the garden shed and to Nicky Arscott for organising it all. They have big plans for this commuity garden so watch this space.
Llanbrynmair map 1841
Cllr Emyr Lewis has kindly lent Llanbrynmair Council this amazing map of Llanbrynmair dated 1841 to put on a wall in the Community Centre hall for all to see. It is currently at the National Library of Wales in Aberystwyth undergoing conservation and renovation work before being mounted and covered for safe display. This work will be funded by the Windfarm Trust.

We would like to say a big and sincere thank you to Powys County Council, local farmers and residents for all the help given during the days of heavy snow. Everyone's great effort meant that our roads were cleared pretty swiftly under the circumstances and there were many acts of kindness to help those less able to get about.
